Fishing Lodge/ Soldotna, AK (2021)

Project from afar. The owner recently downsized from a bigger more rustic lodge and built this sweet place by hand. He wanted a more modern feel while still keeping some traditional elements. I sourced mid century/ Danish modern inspired furniture, modern lighting, native inspired prints for accessories and Pendleton textiles. The beautiful tongue and groove white pine ceiling was an artistic custom touch to make warm the space but keep the aesthetic clean and modern. The challenge was lack of sourcing options during covid with long lead times and also being so remote and a time crunch with only weeks to complete until the guests arrived.
