I call home the “City of Roses” aka Portland, OR. My love of design began with my high school art teacher, Mrs. Virginia Hayes, a woman who wore black kohl eyeliner like a modern-day Cleopatra, draped herself in bold prints and chunky avant-garde jewelry, and took a handful of lucky students like me overseas to see the world. We wandered the back streets of old cities together, taking in markets, architecture, opera, and art. That experience shaped everything that came after.

I went on to study Interior Design in the early 2000’s and stepped straight into the field, interning at the prestigious SkyLAB architecture firm.
